In the USA black women are 4 times more likely to die in childbirth than white women. In NYC that rate is an alarming almost 12 times.

One of the issues contributing to the black maternal mortality crisis, is women's lack of access to birth doula support. This fund will be monumental in securing birth services for a black woman, saving her from being another statistic in the black maternal health crisis.
